What is Body Rolling?
Yamuna Body Rolling was created by Yamuna Zake, a yoga teacher with over 30 years of experience. In general, wherever there is pain, contraction, tightness, inflammation, atrophy or nerve pain, there will be a lack of space and misalignment of bones & muscles in your body.
The goal of YBR classes is to identify this lack of space and the muscles and bones involved. We then complete a series of exercises using density balls to free restrictions in the body and promote healing.
What should I wear to a session?
Dress to feel comfortable. T shirt and leggings/shorts will work well. For hygiene reasons we do recommend that you wear socks.
How many sessions does it take to start feeling a difference?
The change starts right away so we expect you to start feel better after just a single session. It goes without saying that the more you practice, the more you’ll achieve.

Yes, we encourage you to use the balls at home or while travelling to maintain your constantly evolving body. We aim to teach you to self-heal in the comfort of your own home, so you don’t have to rely on a practitioner.
Do you provide all the mats or balls that I need for my Body Rolling class?
Yes, we have everything you need.
Only the Yamuna balls should be used for this type of exercise as their density is right for the body. Other balls tend to be either too hard, which can cause injury, or too soft, so the effects are lost. However, if you would like your own balls, you can buy them from any of the following places:
